“ Excellent service, excellent view, excellent menu. Arrived shortly after sunset and enjoyed dusk on the rooftop under heated lamps. Drink orders: “Me & Mine” and “Sunset Sour”. If you like sweet drinks, the Me & Mine is the best choice as it is the sweetest cocktail on the menu. Dessert orders: “Caramel Milk Chocolate Whip” and “Dubai Chocolate Baked Alaska”. Chocolatey bliss. The menu states a balsamic strawberry caramel on the Caramel Milk Chocolate Whip but I couldn’t taste much of the balsamic (which I think is a good thing). The Baked Alaska was unique and delightful. Our server was so kind and helpful; we really enjoyed our visit. Very fancy experience with a beautiful view of the city. Highly recommend sitting outside. ”
“ We celebrated a birthday here, and it was absolutely amazing! The service was excellent, and the staff treated us so well. Every dish we ordered was incredibly delicious—huge thanks to the chef! And the star of the night was Tyrone! Thank you so much for your work—you’re such a kind and professional person who really knows what he’s doing. This is hands down the best spot in San Diego! “ Great place for a dinner and drinks in Bankers Hill that overlooks downtown San Diego. The gummy bear shots are pretty funny and tasty. The wine list is solid, cocktails are great. I don't come down south often but I'd come back to this place every time. The service was amazing. ”
“ This has got to be the classiest restaurant in San Diego. Not only do they serve incredible food, they have the best views you can imagine - especially if you appreciate aviation. You can watch the planes land and they are at eye level! Plus, they come in every 2 minutes or less. It’s quite spectacular to witness. The food is beyond... we had the steak tar tar and pork belly for appetizers and the salmon Wellington for a main. My hubby got the duck which is not pictured but absolutely delectable! Their wine selection is completely detailed by region and quite expansive. The service was bar none. Christian was our server and he was incredibly attentive, kind and knowledgeable. We loved it so much that we made a pact to go back annually, if not more. If you’re visiting San Diego this place is not to be missed. ”

“ Had a wonderful dining experience at Mister A’s! The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the impeccable service provided by Benjamin. He offered excellent recommendations and checked in just the right amount, making our experience smooth and enjoyable. We timed our reservation to catch the sunset, and it did not disappoint. Watching the sky shift colors while airplanes gracefully landed in the distance was such a unique and memorable touch—it truly sets this place apart from others. As for the food, it was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. While I found some items a touch saltier than my preference, it didn’t take away from the overall quality of the meal. The balance of the menu and freshness of ingredients really shone through. This is the perfect spot for a romantic date night, a celebration, or simply to treat yourself to a fine dining experience with a view. Highly recommend—especially if Benjamin is your server! ”
“ I visited Mister A’s for my anniversary and booked a week in advance to secure a great table with a view of the city, ocean, and sunset. They have a 24-hour cancellation policy and call the day before to remind you of your reservation and suggest a smart-casual dress code. When we arrived, we were seated with the view we hoped for. Our server, Ryan, was attentive and took the time to explain the menu options. I must say, their non-alcoholic drinks were delightful as well. The portion sizes of the dishes were relatively small and on the pricier side. The steak, however, was juicy and tender, and the desserts were delicious. Overall, it's a good restaurant, but I have to admit I've had better steak experiences in cities like Chicago and New York. While you are definitely paying for the stunning view and prime location, the food, although good, felt a bit overpriced. I would recommend visiting at least once for the experience of the view. ”
